In the past, people have struggled to write content online. If you're looking for a way around that problem, an app called Command Station from Write at Command Station is a good place to start. Currently in beta, the software offers a number of features for writing and composing on your Mac or Windows computer. The app doesn't depend on editing ability, but rather builds upon dictation and handwriting-like typing with arguments from Converseon's approach of combining human input with AI technology. Pricing is not yet announced at this time, but it has been selected as one of Microsoft's "Modern Day Apps" demonstrating how technology continues to evolve over time. Command Station aims to make writing content online much easier, even when there are distractions. The app offers a number of features to help users focus on the task at hand. It allows for hands-free writing controlled by your voice or pen. You can also block the program from accepting input from your keyboard, mouse, touchpad and menu bar all at once. The interface opens in full screen mode by default to eliminate any other distractions that may occur in your line of sight. The app was designed with Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet in mind, but it works with just about any computer that runs Windows 10 Professional or higher or Mac OSX El Capitan or higher. The app has been in beta form since January 2012. Command Station is supported by numerous plugins. How you install the Command Station plugin depends on the platform you're using. The Mac version of Command Station supports Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, and requires a Mac with a mouse and an Apple USB keyboard to use the program. The Windows version supports Windows 7, 8 and 10 Professional or higher, and requires a mouse and a Microsoft compatible keyboard to use the program. Both of the plugins can be found at there respective websites: https://commandstationapp.com/extensions/plugin-macos-extension/, https://commandstationapp.com/extensions/plugin-windows7-Desktop/.
